Breaking Down the Negativity of "Hampaslupa"

Since the literal translation of the word hampaslupa is to till the soil, which refers to agriculture, our primary goal is to change the negative connotation associated with it. This website's name was chosen for that reason. Please don't take offense at the fact that we consider every human being who eats a hampaslupa. Why? Every time we eat, we value the labor of our Filipino farmers. What they are sowing, we are consuming. We should never belittle our farmers because they are responsible for keeping every one of us alive and well.

Raising the Status of Agriculture

Agriculture is the art and science of nurturing the soil, growing crops, and raising livestock; this is something we should never forget. Working in this industry doesn't imply that the job is low. We can support our farmers and ensure that they receive the proper compensation by appreciating them and buying their harvests. Our government must put into action to provide qualified farmer beneficiaries with access to more land and boost their labor productivity.

Choosing Ecological Agriculture

Pollination is improved through ecological agriculture, which raises crop yields. Utilizing ecosystem services like water filtering, pollination, oxygen production, and disease and insect control is called ecological farming. It is simply growing food in various, chemical-free, 100% organic systems without using monocultures or the use of agricultural machinery, and pesticides.

Repairing the Damaged Food System

By supplying nutritious, sustainably produced food, we can fix our broken food system. Create a standard that allows farmers to charge a little bit more for products raised according to higher standards, so that what benefits all of us also benefits farmers. Purchase products that are in line with your priorities. Consider a marketplace for goods grown with the best standards. Let's stop wasting money and secure our food.

Advocating Mindful Eating

Serve only as much food as you can consume and finish in order to prevent product waste. Savor each bite and be grateful for what you have. Even start home gardening to produce your own food. Having a lot of greenery in your home is highly advantageous because it is calming to look at and teaches you to be thrifty since you can eat what you've produced.

Decreasing Carbon Footprint

The cliché of planting trees is real, though. Instead of repeating this sentence, we ought to act it out. One of the most effective methods for lowering carbon footprint is to follow a vegan diet. You can lessen your use of meat and/or other animal products to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Among the techniques to lessen carbon footprint are recycling, turning off or unplugging unused gadgets, and reducing waste.

We're hoping you'll take in each of these objectives. We appreciate you visiting our website.

Realize, be inspired, and take action now!
